At a Proposito press conference for Ottawa County’s duly elected Commissioner Lucy Ebel, the Latino community showed up and took a stand of support.
Marco Bulnes, an advocate in favor of American values, spoke about the recall effort initiated by Democratic Party actors:
I don’t know Ms. Ebel, but based on her career (nurse), family stance, constitutional stance, and the things she is “pro” on, she is a strong woman with high virtues. She is no “easy picking” or “low hanging fruit.”
What she stands for is not some Hispanic agenda but the same American ideals that emboldened our founding fathers: integrity, honor, character, honesty, courage, compassion, generosity, fidelity, fairness, self-control, and prudence. How can anyone of any party find fault in what she stands for? And yet they do! Shame on them!
Frederic Bastiat said, “When plunder has become a way of life for a group of people living together in society, they create for themselves in the course of time a legal system that authorizes it, and a moral code that glorifies it.”
Lucy Ebel is a woman who believes in the promises made in our founding documents. America is a country where all who live here are free to pursue life, liberty, and happiness. Our government cannot give, nor even assure receipt of these goals and dreams, only that we will be free to pursue them by the strength of our hands and the sweat of our brow!
By standing for America, by standing for the Constitution, children, family, education, small businesses, and secure elections, she stands for ALL Americans, whether Republican or Democrat, Conservative or Liberal. She stands for the 8th generation citizen and the newly sworn! Who better to serve the many and varied citizens of Ottawa County? A healer, a mother, and wife. A Latina.
“Low hanging fruit?” “Easy pickings?” I hardly think so.
