Leftist ideology is in the face of America’s college students everywhere they turn. Posters on diversity, equity, inclusion, and so-called implicit bias line the walls of dormitory halls nationwide.
Woke professors preach sustainability and prioritize ESG (Environmental and Social Governance) above proven effective business practices. To earn good grades, students’ humanities papers must present the “correct” point of view.
The pressure continues even outside of the classroom. Coeds must accept biological males “in transition” as resident assistants in all-girl halls. Meanwhile, Sex Ed Weeks promote sex-positive viewpoints with sessions like Kinky Karaoke and Cupcakes. But somehow, a good many college students resist such blatant indoctrination.
Not all college students are woke activists!
Statement by GVSU College Republicans
Perhaps there’s a natural resistance in some college students. We see evidence of this at Grand Valley State University (GVSU). In a switch from the usual Town versus Gown antipathy, the GVSU College Republicans recently adopted the following resolution expressing their support for the new Ottawa County Board of Commissioners.
“The Grand Valley State University College Republicans uphold individual liberty and justice for all as important values. We continue to advocate that local government should reflect the values of the citizens they represent. That is why we thank the Ottawa County Board of Commissioners, led by Chairman Joe Moss, for their leadership and courage in standing up for those values. This has been exemplified by the recent changes that have been made by the board, changes which they promised the citizens of Ottawa County they would make. The GVSU GOP is excited to see the board continue to lead with courage, dignity, and integrity. Ottawa County truly is where freedom rings for all.”
